There really is no stopping this girl...!!

Sergeant Sophie Hanson was recently fortunate enough to be awarded a parachute course with Skydive Weston at RAF Weston on the Green. This course is only available to a very few cadets in the Air Training Corps, and its through Sophie's commitment and dedication to the Squadron and the Corps, that her name was put forward by Flt Lt Stones OC 499 Squadron, Port Talbot. It was only two months ago, Sophie attained her Gliding Wings at 636 Gliding School Swansea, with an offer to return to the School as a Staff Cadet.

From a height of 3,500 ft, and with just six hours training under her belt, Sophie took the plunge! The picture really says it all....would you jump??

Flt Lt Stones, along with us all at the Squadron, are extremely proud of Sophie's achievements, and wish her all the very best in her next venture....
