Flight Description

I was quite exited to go flying again. I don’t know why to be honest, as it was my fifth time, but I was really looking forward. There were 6 of us meant to be going, but 2 didn’t turn up. Luckily Gethin decided he wanted to go flying again and turned up anyway, as a spare.

When we got to St Athan, we were told the pilots would be late, so we put a DVD on – Jonny English.

When the pilots arrived, Dominic and I were the first in air. My pilot was FLT Lt Sweet and he seemed a very nice man, so I was relaxed straight away.

LIFT OFF!!! And he talked me through the take off, so straight away I was learning.

When we were in the air, we did aerobatics – my pilot talked me through when he was doing the preview of each of the moves – the loop, figure of eight and a stall turn. When I was ready to try myself, he let me take over and do each of them myself. It’s an amazing thing to do. But I messed the stall turn up (XD) ß smiley face (for old peoples benefit).

25 minutes was over and back to land we went. Came into land and it was fine. Then when we were on the ground the nose wheel went mad, and we went shaky!! It was rather funny

Got back inside & Jonny English had finished, so I put Pirates of the Caribbean on when everyone else went to have a fly.

Another great day out with the ATC (XD).
